SOLAR PHOTOVOLTAIC CHARGE CONTROLLER – 12V to 48 V DC & BATTERY CHARGER – 48V to 192 V DC


It is a sophisticated & intelligent Solar Charge Controller/Battery Charger family for low cost applications.
The electronic circuit is equipped with a microcontroller that provides high-efficiency charging technology together with a number of outstanding status display, warning and safety functions.
The temperature-compensated PWM charging method is adjustable to batteries from range 12Volt to 192Volt DC.
The Charge Controller also allows voltage controlled low voltage disconnect function.
The battery status is LED, and there are over-all six annunciating LED's.

SOC (State Of Charge) Voltages :

1) Load disconnect voltage (LVD) : 1.8V per cell ± 2%

(load line gets disconnected from battery)


2) Load reconnect voltage (LVC) : 2.0V per cell ± 2%

(load line gets re connected to the battery)


3) Boost Voltage (at 300ºK) : 2.3V per cell ± 2%

(PWM Charging starts at this voltage)

Charging Method :

The CCU charges the battery linearly upto 90% voltage, after that, temperature Compensated Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) charging method is used, the duty cycle varies linearly with battery voltage and / or temperature. Integrated temperature compensation provided.

Temperature Compensation

Integrated temperature compensation provided. When temperature rises above 300 degree Kelvin, the Boost voltage gets reduced linearly.

Protections :

1) Short Circuit Protection for Load Line : Instantaneous shut down of Load line.

2) Overload Protection for Load Line : Checks for app. 15 seconds before shutting down load line

3) Reverse Polarity Protection for Battery : Circuit is protected against reverse connection of the battery.

4) Reverse Polarity Protection for SPV : No charging will take place and neither.It will damage the circuit.

Dusk to Dawn Facility :

Dusk to Dawn operation of the Charge Controller (suitable for Street Light System) is also provided, it is an optional feature and can be incorporated at customer's request at a very nominal increase in price.
Besides Street Light Controllers with timing facility is also available.
